The Central Library for Blind

The Central Library for Blind and Reading Impaired People (The CLFB) is Israel's pioneer in the field of Audio Description, producing high quality materials that meet international standards, collaborating successfully with leading film production companies and distributors.

 Since 2014, The Library's Film and Programs Audio Description Department gives blind and visually impaired people the opportunity to access the same content that is available to the sighted public, and thus to share cultural experiences with their family and friends and join in the social and cultural discourse in Israel. In 2018 The CLFB won the ADP (Audio Description Project) Achievement award in the category of "International" given annually by the American Council of the Blind.
