Badge Guidelines
NP3 for Audio Localization Badge Usage and Marketing & Promotional Guidelines
As a valued member of the Netflix Preferred Partner Program (NP3) for audio localization, your studio represents an elite group of members within the audio localization industry. Selected based on your expertise and commitment to the NP3 values and principles, NP3 studios have the privilege to engage in limited Marketing and Promotional support from Netflix Dubbing.
NP3 Partners are exclusively permitted to display the NP3 badge and attribute themselves as partners to the program. The Marketing & Promotional guidelines outline how and where to display the NP3 badge and what Marketing & Promotional support is available to your facility and facility personnel1. As a program participant, you are solely responsible for communicating these guidelines to your personnel and enforcing them within your organization. Facilities should read and follow the guidelines for facility personnel below and refer to this Quick Reference Guide or share directly with facility personnel.
Being part of this program does not represent or indicate an exclusive partnership between Netflix and the partner. Additionally, it does not grant partners permission to use the Netflix brand beyond the scope of these guidelines.
NOTE: These guidelines are subject to change at any time at Netflix’s sole discretion.
To request Netflix’s prior approval, submit to the Marketing & Promotional Request Form. Please allow 3-5 business days to confirm receipt of your request and up to 14 business days to fulfill your request. For Awards submissions, provide at least 4 weeks notice for all requests.
NP3 Badge Usage - for Facility Only
Once a partner has signed and received the fully executed version of the required NP3 Badge License Agreement (BLA), they will receive the NP3 badge for use per the guidelines below. Note the following:
- The NP3 badge should be considered a badge of excellence for audio localization.
- The badge usage license is revocable, non-exclusive, non-sublicensable, and non-transferable.
- Netflix reserves the right to amend the NP3 badge or replace it with a different badge.

The NP3 badge is available for use when announcing the facility’s participation in the program with recommended language on the following items:
- Email signatures (full-time partner employees only)
- Partner official websites
- Partner social media channels
Recommended Language: [Facility A] is pleased to announce that we have joined the Netflix NP3 Program for [NP3 Badged Service].
Messaging should ONLY indicate the facility’s “participation” in the program and the service(s) the facility is providing according to the NP3 BLA. Any mention or implication of an “exclusive” agreement between the partner and Netflix/NP3 is strictly prohibited.
How to use the NP3 badge:
- Use the badge exactly as provided by Netflix. Refrain from making any modifications, recreations, alterations, distortions, or adjustments.
- Maintain the required clear space around the badge as outlined below.
- The NP3 badge may be displayed no smaller than the minimum size of 60 pixels or .85 inches
- The recommended Hashtag for social media posts about your participation in the program is #NetflixNP3.

NP3 Marketing and Promotional Guidelines - Facility Self Service Opportunities
In addition to the NP3 badge access and usage guidelines above, Dubbing and Audio Description Facilities should meet the minimum requirements in order to qualify for marketing and promotional support:
- Dubbing and Audio Description is paid and commissioned by Netflix Dubbing
- For Global Dubbing Project Management (GDPM) Projects, the languages must be recorded in-house
Please note that the following are NOT PERMITTED:

Facilities are encouraged to include the title name and a description of their involvement in the post.
Example copy: [Facility A] was proud to provide the [Language Dubbing] on [Netflix Title].
Using Netflix Press Coverage

NP3 Marketing and Promotional Guidelines - Facility Opportunities Requiring Netflix Approval
To request Netflix’s prior approval, submit to the Marketing & Promotional Request Form. Please allow 3-5 business days to confirm receipt of your request and up to 14 business days to fulfill your request.
Using Official Netflix Digital Posters, Trailers, and Clips
Use of official and approved Netflix branded digital assets for company websites or direct social media posts may be considered WITH PRIOR NETFLIX APPROVAL2.

Mentions of a facility’s involvement with Netflix in Editorial (e.g. company digital newsletter, blog or company website) may be considered, WITH PRIOR NETFLIX APPROVAL2. In addition, the title must have launched (i.e. the title and dub language is available on the Netflix service in territory).
Interviews & Press
Interviews and press engagements regarding Netflix titles required to OBTAIN NETFLIX’S PRIOR APPROVAL2. In the event of an interview or press request, please immediately reach out to Netflix.
NP3 Marketing and Promotional Guidelines - for Facility Personnel1
Facilities are solely responsible for communicating and enforcing NP3 Marketing and Promotional guidelines to facility personnel. Facility personnel are required to follow guidelines meant for facilities in addition to the below guidelines specified for facility personnel.
Resharing Dubbing Studio Posts
Dubbing Voice Actors (Talent) are encouraged to reshare any publications from a Dubbing Studio that has already been approved by Netflix. As long as the Talent is resharing the Dubbing Studio’s original post (which should have been pre-approved by Netflix) with official Netflix trailers/articles/digital posters, Talent should feel free to self-promote by resharing the post, including the title name and role, without Netflix’s approval.
As an example, if a Dubbing Studio has posted a Netflix branded poster on their social media, Talent is allowed to reshare the post on their personal social media with suggested language, “[Netflix Title] is now available on Netflix! I am proud to have voiced [Character] in [Language]”. Talent is not permitted to add commentary proprietary to Netflix such as specific workflow details involved in the Dubbing production process.
Direct Talent Posts
Once the Talent’s dubbed episode or standalone title has launched (i.e. the title and dub language is available on the Netflix service in territory), Talent is allowed to mention the title and their role in text on their personal digital platforms, regardless of whether the Dubbing Studio has posted or not. The post may also include a share of an official Netflix trailer (sourced from an official Netflix Youtube channel), or an official Netflix-posted article regarding the title.
Example scenario: The title has launched on Netflix in Japanese, Talent is allowed to post the title and their role on X (formerly known as Twitter).
- Talent text to use: [Netflix Title] is now available on Netflix! I am proud to have voiced [Character] in [Language]
- Talent text to use: [Netflix Title] is now available on Netflix! I am proud to have worked on this project as [Role (e.g. Dubbing Director)] for the [Language] dubbed version. Talent is not permitted to add commentary proprietary to Netflix such as specific workflow details involved in the Dubbing production process.
Interviews & Press
Interviews and press engagements regarding Netflix titles are not allowed WITHOUT NETFLIX’S PRIOR APPROVAL2. In the event of an interview or press request, please immediately reach out to the Dubbing Studio that worked on the title and the Dubbing Studio will follow-up with Netflix.
Instances where Talent is interviewed for a separate project and is asked about their role on a Netflix title, Talent may confirm their role played in a Netflix title, but provide no further commentary.
Award Submission - For Facility and Facility Personnel1
Dubbing & Audio Description facilities and facility personnel should meet the following requirements in order to qualify for award submission:
- A dub must have been commissioned by Netflix
- Facilities must self-submit for facility and facility personnel, covering all costs associated with the submission, only WITH NETFLIX’S PRIOR APPROVAL2
- When a full dub is being considered in a category (not just an actor’s voice), we require that the title be both recorded and mixed at the facility submitting
- Facilities must provide at least 4 weeks notice for all submission requests
IMPORTANT NOTICE: For submission content, facilities will be instructed to request that judges view content via the Netflix platform. Access to the service can be provided to the judges by Netflix, when needed. If the awards committee does not allow for submission viewing directly on the Netflix platform, the dub studio is responsible for providing watermarked clips for submission. If the facility’s submission is subsequently nominated, the facility can request any required additional marketing material, if needed, such as video clips, key art, or photography with a reasonable amount of lead time.
1Facility personnel refers to all facility dubbing talent, crew, contractors, employees and subcontractors.
